Viktualienmarkt 15, Munich
Our restaurant "Der Pschorr" is a popular bavarian restaurant in the center of Munich – directly at the Viktualienmarkt. A meeting place for all of Munich, as well as for visitors and friends of the city. We cultivate traditional beer culture and serve up top-quality regional products. Everyone can enjoy the excellent beer, bavarian cuisine and the friendly service. Highlights: We still serve beer from wooden barrels ‐ traditionally cooled with ice bars in a barrel cellar. For all meals: Regional sourcing is important to us. We support the local agriculture by using fresh regional products on a daily base for our bavarian cuisine. In a central location, close to the Marienplatz, "Pschorr" can easily be accessed by public transport. From the many sights, hotels, shops and offices of the city, it's also in walking distance. Barrier-free access to the all areas of the restaurant, beer cellar, banquet room and toilet facilities (glass elevator in the stairwell). See you ...
Historic brewery located on the edge of the Viktualienmarkt, in the cogollu of the old city. In addition to the previous one, it has a large terrace on the outside. The beer is excellent and the food, typical Bavarian, is very rich and the portions are Xenero. The staff are friendly and attentive.
if you are fan of beer & disent crowd then you should visit this place. the beer & food are really delicous & price are correct. little problem with the service. the server don't have time to explain the disses, special when we are not german then we felt like lost in translation.
Very sad that everyhting is closed atm. But it would be great if you sell something for take away!
Excellent traditional bavarian food.
Historical transactional Bavarian restaurant with tasty food and kind staffs.
The Pschorr is always worth a visit. In good weather - even in autumn or winter - you can sit very nicely on the terrace. The food is always great! The service is friendly and attentive. The prices are tough, however, and tend to be more for tourists. The location is of course very good!
Went to eat here a few weeks ago. In general, the Covid-19 requirements have been implemented well, even if I still think the plastic mini masks are wrong ... The food is delicious for the price, but unfortunately the size / quantity looks like it was a greeting from the kitchen - I just don't expect something like that in a Bavarian inn. The service was unfortunately not the friendliest ... you should still work on that.
Great restaurant, good quality food and pleasant service. Can't fault it and was there with family. Not as stressful as in HB and also better quality food. Gladly again even if a little more expensive. Good location at the Viktualienmarkt.
Hearty, good food in a beautiful rustic atmosphere. Very good wines! The apple fritters for dessert were absolutely amazing! Outstanding, attentive and competent service. Prices are absolutely fine for what is served. There is a children's menu and painting supplies for the little ones, all Corona compliant! The sanitary facilities look very clean.
Beautiful ambience, very nice service, courteous and funny. I had the Bavarian sauerbraten and it was delicious. Definitely recommended. What I think is a shame that I couldn't try everything I saw on the plate of other guests
A fabulous restaurant with delicious meats and sausages! Special thanks to the barman for the delicious beer)
a nice beer garden and very good location. The food is really good and the quality is not comparable with the Bavarian dishes at other beer gardens. A bit higher price for food but it’s worth it!
My review is for a visit back in July. The food was fresh and delicious, the service from the staff was good and friendly, but the manager's handling was so wrong that I sometimes thought there had to be a camera somewhere and it was filmed for "understand fun". I ordered half a duck, it was served in two quarters. To this day I am sure that there were two limb parts. I made the remark to the waiter "the food tastes excellent, but I would have preferred a piece with the wing too. Of course I will continue to eat it because it tastes good." Out of nowhere, the ladder suddenly appeared at the table and asked loudly how I came up with the fact that there are two limbs? Whether I am not familiar with the duck's anatomy. As if that weren't enough, he pulled his mouthguard off his nose and reached into my food with his hands (I wasn't really done yet), started digging into the bones and showing them to me. Apart from the fact that it is Corona, the guest does not feel like rummaging around in his food. Although he apologized for his behavior and the meal was on the house, I still shake my head when I think about that evening. Even if I was wrong, then there is no way to become so quick-tempered and to be so wrong in tone and action. How can you treat your guests like that? Above all, how can you not have yourself under control and react to a simple banal statement like that - it is still a mystery to me today. I have often visited this place, whether in summer or winter, carnival celebrations, it was always great, but you just don't want to experience something like that again.

We recommend! Delicious food, friendly service! We liked that there are also smaller portions here. We also found out that Aperol Sprizz is also made with white wine in Bavaria and that you can now pay for everything with your mobile phone if you leave your cards there. With this in mind, greetings to the waitress who smiles under her mask ?
Refreshing beer, but limited food menu. Staff is incredibly friendly and service is quite quick. Sit outside for some prime Munich people watching.
I've never seen such outrageous prices. Cheese spaetzle for 16.90 euros, onion roast beef for 31.90 euros, salad with chicken breast strips and mushrooms for 17.90 euros, beef goulash for 21.90 euros - so my eyes fell out of my head. The menu is also quite small, for example a classic roast pork. there is not any. There are enough inns that still have normal prices, are central and where the atmosphere is livelier and quaint. Definitely not here anymore.
August 2019. Excellent beer, good food, courteous and friendly staff, but at a certain time of night when the place was half empty, many mice popped up. Small but still city mice. My partner catapulted out with baby and stroller. The waiter told us this is normal in central Munich. In fact, we happened to find them at night in deserted squares and in a bakery (!). To be avoided until complete rodent control.
Rude slow service and expensive drink. We sat and waited for 10 minutes before we went to find a menu which wasn't available in English. Waitress was abrupt and rude, a coke zero cost 4.80 euro and then we had to chase her for the change as well.
It works ... The food was ok, was deliciously prepared. Bit too little for my taste. Unfortunately I didn't like the beer there at all. The brightly advertised in the menu had a strong metallic aftertaste. I got an explanation on request and later got a taste of a fresh barrel, the metallic taste was less, but still there. Not my taste. The espresso was delicious, the service friendly, but not on the ball. It wasn't that busy. I don't go there anymore and I can't recommend it either.
I always thought it was a tourist trap; until I was there myself. Very friendly staff and really good Bavarian cuisine. A lot of places, but they are generously distributed. Very high ceiling as there are tables on another floor. This is important now, in the Corona period, as there is a good exchange of air. Partition walls are also available.
Nice restaurant right across from the Viktualienmarkt with delicious dishes, not cheap but very good. Unfortunately they serve Hugo's own creation instead of Prosecco with wine, which tastes a bit stale
Really bad restaurant, too expensive for what it offers. Poor options and mediocre food. Place full of bees and flies that annoy them and are attracted by the sauces used in almost all their dishes. If you want to throw money away, this is the right place for you!
Hmm. Very nice wienerschnitzel. Really good flavour. But but but. The beers is served from wooden barrels. No carbon dioxide so the beers are flat which I'm not a fan of. But if you like it, then go for it. Service is like most other places in Germany - pretty horrible. Opposite of American service.
Expensive tourist trap that sells cold food.
Locally sourced and all organic - the Brotzeit with fresh bread is just out of the world. It's not Augustiner beer, but the Hacker Bier does it too :-)
Top ....
Superb
Terrible waiter. This guy in lederhosen acknowledged we had no menu to then start cleaning other tables to give us a menu when he finally felt like.
Great eatery, large outdoor area. The food was delicious, duck, schnitzel and sauerbraten, no objection. The waitress was a bit stressed, it was very busy. But always very friendly, there is nothing to complain about. The Pschorr is not cheap, but the portions are decent, you don't get up hungry.
Worth every penny! Fantastic service, friendly, helpful and funny! Did get great seating and the dishes were absolutely delicious. Very Bavarian!! You have to try that desert! Would die for it! ?
10/10 recommend for tourists and locals alike. I've been here a couple times and have never had any issues with the food or service. Always impressed by their menu.
Delicious Bavarian food at a slightly higher price. Fish costs € 23, other main courses between € 15-20. Ambience very nicely decorated, everything was very consistent. Waitstaff super friendly and courteous. Recommendable!
If it’s your first time in München, you’re probably going to end up at Viktualien market at some point. And the restaurant is probably one of the best choices if you want to have a sitting down dinner and experience authentic Bavarian food and beer. 01/06/2020 Updates: went there again tonight for dinner, their kitchen is under renovation so the food is merely okay. The wurst was so salty and I paid €20 for a deep fry fish....really poor value
My favourite Schnitzel location!!!!!! If you’re new to Munich this is the place to check out, enjoy the super rare friendly service, Divine schnitzle and beer ????
Great place to enjoy beer and food
Very limited options for vegetarian and vegan people
Super
Tasty Bavarian food and very good beer :-) Nothing special, just a good restaurant.
Very nice. German beer hall type place. Upstairs area for quieter dining, great beer and great food. Highly recommended.
Really good beer, food and friendly service.
Great food,beer and wine ? ??
3 Stars because of lack of service and since we stayed late almost to closing we felt unwelcome. The 8 of us enjoyed the majority of the food. I ordered liver and should not have. Asked for extra onions and got them. Lots of them. All out of the can. Not freshly roasted. After taking of the dry onion flakes and “who knows sauce”, it was an ok liver. On a scale of 1-10 a 4.5. Beer was good. There are other places in Munich that can easily compete, like the Augustiner. I will avoid the place in the future.
Nice food and super Service. A bit overpriced but delicious food
Great restaurant for having traditional Bavarian food and beer. Always full on weekends though. Be ready to wait a bit to get place or book a table in advance.
Go there for a beer!?Definitely worth a visit
Very friendly staff, nice place. But too loud, the food below average and expensive. Also, our clothes smelled after we left.
Best brewery
Best meat, excellent food and service. Just a little too loud for my taste.
My favorite place for German food and beer! Love it!
